Ok takže si ozrejmíme fakty z medzinárodného námorného práva, lebo zase mediálny „odborníci“ sú totálne na mimo.

26 December 2025. V Odeskom prístave bola zasiahnutá loď na ktorej viala Slovenská vlajka.

Po prvé loď sa neplavila ale bola v prístave. Čo je generálny rozdiel v prípade vlajky a krajiny v akej je loď registrovaná.

V prípade že loď sa nachádza v medzinárodných vodách oficiálne jej paluba, je teritóriom štátu pod ktorého vlajkou sa plaví. Oficiálne tiež spadá pod právnu jurisdikciu daného štátu. V prípade však že loď vpláva do teritoriálnych vôd akéhokoľvek štátu čiže 12 námorných míľ od brehu, jej právny status sa mení. Loď povinne vyvesi vlajku štátu v ktorého vodách sa nachádza čím sa oficiálne vzdáva právnej prináležitosti k štátu registrácie čiže „state flag“ a preberá právnu jurisdikciu štátu na ktorého „teritóriu“ sa nachádza.

Oficiálne paluba danej lode podľa námorného práva v ukrajinskom prístave spadala v dobe útoku pod ukrajinskú právnu jurisdikciu.

Je to úplne iná situácia ako vojenské útoky na civilné lode v medzinárodných vodách.

Útok môže byť označený ako útok na civilné plavidlo v zóne vojenské konfliktu, takže môže spadať pod vojenské zločiny. Otázna je však interpretácia keďže obe strany útočia na civilnu infraštruktúry nepriateľa.

🇬🇧 26 December 2025. A Slovak flag vessel attacked in the Oddesa port.

„Okay, so let’s clarify the facts from international maritime law, because there are extremely many armchair ‚experts‘ in medias…

First, the ship wasn’t sailing but was in port. What’s the general difference in the case of the flag and the country in which the ship is registered.

In the case that the ship is in international waters, officially its deck is the territory of the state under whose flag it sails. Officially, it also falls under the legal jurisdiction of that state. However, if the ship enters the territorial waters of any state, i.e., 12 nautical miles from the shore, its legal status changes. The ship hoists the flag of the state in whose waters it is located, thereby officially relinquishing legal affiliation to the state of registration, i.e., the ‚state flag‘, and assuming the legal jurisdiction of the state on whose ‚territory‘ it is located.

Officially, the deck of that ship, according to maritime law in a Ukrainian port, fell under Ukrainian legal jurisdiction at the time of the attack.

This is a completely different situation from military attacks on civilian ships in international waters (High seas).

The attack can be classified as an attack on a civilian vessel in a zone of military conflict, so it could fall under war crimes. However, the interpretation is questionable, since both sides are attacking the enemy’s civilian infrastructure.“

On December 26, 2025, a civilian vessel flying the Slovak flag was damaged during a massive overnight Russian drone attack on the port infrastructure of Odessa, Ukraine. 

Details of the Attack

Target: The strikes targeted the ports of the Odessa region, including critical logistics and civilian infrastructure.

Assets Affected: Alongside the Slovak-flagged ship, the attack damaged vessels under the flags of Palau and Liberia (the latter in the Mykolaiv region), as well as a barge, grain elevators, and warehouses belonging to civilian enterprises.

Casualties: Initial reports from Ukrainian Deputy 

Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba indicate that there were no casualties among the crew members or port workers during this specific wave of drone strikes.

Broader Impact: The attack was part of a larger offensive that also struck railway infrastructure in the Lviv region, specifically damaging a locomotive and freight car at the Kovel station.
